Satellite Inn

From Nowhere Revisited
El Cortez Records
Release date 13 March 2026
In 2002, Satellite Inn were touring Italy as opening act and backing band for Robert Fisher, leader of US Folk-Rock giants Willard Grant Conspiracy. After a string of well received outings with the band playing unreleased material, Robert offered to lead the production of what would have been Satellite Inn’s new record, tentatively named From Nowhere. Robert and the band worked on four songs and the skeleton of an album was sent to North Carolina for approval. Unfortunately the label, MoodFood Records went out of business and the band and the songs on a two decade hiatus.
After the self-release of their 2024 eponymous album, Satellite Inn, and several years since the death of Robert Fisher the lost songs reappeared in a box of Satellite Inn’s unused master tapes. The material was so inspiring for the band that they decided to pay tribute to their old mentor by rearranging a bunch of songs written back in the day to finish the job started by Robert. Those early songs sounded so fresh that they became the backbone of their new record. With the help of Dave Curry (Willard Grant Conspiracy, Thalia Zedek), Steven Honeywill (Lone Pine), Roberto Villa (Silent Strangers, Ronin) and Edward Abbiati (Lowlands, Rattling Chains), Satellite Inn gave them a new life as From Nowhere Revisited.
For the occasion, Satellite Inn will team up again with their old friends at the historic El Cortez label in Portland, Oregon, once run by Richmond Fontaine and now the platform distributing aural gems from the acclaimed band The Delines.
From Nowhere Revisited, Satellite Inn’s new record, will be due out on El Cortez Records in March 2026.
